Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This site is operated by Selena Tarot (Seobat S.r.l.) ("Selena Tarot", "we", "us"), which is the controller of the personal information described here. For anything privacy-related, write to [email protected].

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your first name and email address when you order, subscribe, or request a free reading.
  • Your question and context: the question you submit for a reading and any details you choose to include. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing; these details may reveal personal aspects of your life, and we treat them with care and confidentiality.
  • Follow-up questions and reviews you write on your private reading page.
  • Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and the amount, never your full card number.

Information collected automatically

  • First-party analytics without cookies: page views with a daily-rotating, non-reversible visitor hash. It cannot identify you and does not follow you across other sites.
  • Email events: whether our emails are delivered, opened, or clicked, so we can stop mailing people who are not interested.
  • Advertising signals: with your cookie choices, pixels from Meta, TikTok, and Google measure whether our ads work. See the Cookie Policy.

3. How we use your information

  • To prepare and deliver your readings and answer your follow-up questions.
  • To send service emails about your orders (confirmations, delivery, answers).
  • To send marketing emails you can leave at any time with one click on the unsubscribe link.
  • To measure and improve the site, our emails, and our advertising.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

4. Who receives your information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Selena Tarot, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

  • Stripe for payments.
  • Amazon Web Services for sending email.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the site.
  • Automated language-processing services (such as Microsoft Azure) used in preparing personalized content, which process the question and context you submit.
  • Measurement partners (Meta, TikTok, Google) as described in the Cookie Policy.

We do not sell your personal information. Advertising pixels may be considered "sharing" under some U.S. state laws; you can opt out at any time through the cookie banner, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal automatically.

5. International transfers

We operate from the European Union and use providers in the United States and Europe. Where personal information crosses borders, we rely on recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep it

  • Order and payment records: as long as required for accounting and legal purposes.
  • Your readings and follow-up threads: for as long as we provide your private reading page, so you can return to them.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

7. Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and you can object to or restrict certain uses. Marketing always has a one-click way out.

If you are a California resident (and residents of other U.S. states with similar laws): you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, email [email protected] from the address linked to your data (or provide enough detail for us to verify it is you). We respond within the time the applicable law allows.

8. Security

Access to your data is limited, connections are encrypted, payments never touch our servers, and your readings live behind private, unguessable links. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat what you share with us as confidential.

9. Children

The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date and version above. Material changes to how we use your data will be flagged by email where appropriate.
