If you keep asking whether he'll come back, it's a reasonable question, and you're far from the only woman asking it tonight. A breakup tends to end twice, once on the day it happens and again, more slowly, every time a song in the grocery store or his brand of coffee on a shelf brings him back into the room. That's how attachment works in a human body. It doesn't mean you're stuck forever.
The cards can describe what he feels now, tender, guarded, regretful or cooling, and the direction things are moving, toward each other, away, or suspended somewhere in the middle. They're often at their best showing what it would take for the two of you to try again. They can't guarantee a return, give you an honest date, or decide for you whether to go back, because both of you stay free after the cards are put away.
In Part One I explain why some men come back and some never do, and why the most useful question sits beneath the one you're asking, which is whether the thing that broke between you is still broken. Part Two reads thirty-eight cards for this one subject, with the return cards like the Six of Cups and Judgement, the in-between cards like the Hanged Man and Justice, the ending cards read honestly, and six cards about you, from Strength to the Nine of Pentacles.
Part Three gives you four spreads, the Reconciliation diamond, What Changed, No Contact, and The Message, which asks what you're really asking for before you send anything. Three readings are worked through, including one where the cards lean away. Part Four walks through the situations I see most: he left suddenly, we still talk, he's with someone new, on and off for years, he reached out on my birthday, how long to wait, and when it's time to let go, with a gentle chapter on how to grieve it.
You'll finish with a clearer sense of what is truly left between you, a date on your own calendar so the waiting stops being endless, and a way to decide, whichever way you decide, with your eyes open and your heart still your own.
