The Devil

This is the card nobody wants to see, and it might be the most honest one in the deck. Something unhealthy has taken root in your love life and you need to look at it with brutal honesty before it consumes everything. Here it can point to codependency so deep that you've lost yourself completely, jealousy and possessiveness that masquerade as passion, or a toxic relationship that you stay in because the intensity feels like love when it's actually just chaos. It can also point to purely physical connections that you're mistaking for something deeper because the chemistry is so strong it overrides your judgment.

The reversed Devil at work means leaving a toxic workplace, breaking free from a business partnership that was draining your energy and creativity, or finally admitting that the career path you chose for money or status isn't worth the cost to your wellbeing and sense of self.

You might also be overcoming workaholic tendencies or learning to set boundaries with a demanding job that used to own every hour of your day. Freedom in your professional life is absolutely possible, but you have to actively choose it every single day.
