You are not imagining it. Some weeks, everything he does lands harder. The text that takes four hours feels like four days. A simple good morning feels like a love letter, and silence feels like a verdict.
If one of those weeks holds a supermoon, the sky is in on it.
What a Supermoon Actually Is
The moon's orbit around Earth is not a perfect circle, so its distance from us changes through the month. A supermoon happens when a full moon coincides with the moon's closest approach to Earth. Closer means bigger and brighter in the sky, and, in my experience, louder in the chest. Supermoons come back around regularly, often a few in a row, and the next major one rises on January 22, 2027.
I think of a supermoon as a full moon with the volume dial turned up. A regular full moon already heightens emotion, brings situations to a peak, makes hidden feelings visible. A supermoon does all of that with the dial at ten.
What It Means for Your Love Life
Under a supermoon, feelings do not become more true. They become more loud. That distinction will save you a whole week of heartache. The longing you feel is real, but its size is being amplified, the way a whisper becomes a shout through a speaker. He did not become more distant on Tuesday. Your receiver just became more sensitive.
That is not a reason to dismiss what comes up. Amplification is useful, because it shows you what was already there. If jealousy surges, there was a seed of insecurity asking for your attention. If tenderness overflows, there is more love in you for this person than your guarded everyday self admits. The supermoon is not inventing your feelings. It is handing you a magnifying glass and saying: look properly.
The skill of this week is simple to say and hard to do. Feel everything, decide almost nothing. Let the wave move through you, write it down, cry if it wants out. But hold the 2am paragraph, hold the ultimatum, hold the dramatic deleting of his number. Loud weather is for gathering information, not for signing contracts. When the moon recedes, you will still have everything you learned, minus the distortion.
And do not forget the sweeter side of this moon. Supermoons amplify the good just as faithfully as the hard. If you find yourself laughing louder, craving more closeness, feeling brave enough to say the tender thing, that is real too. Some of my favorite love stories turned on a supermoon week, because one woman let the amplified feeling push a true sentence out of her mouth at last. The loudness is only dangerous when it drives. When you drive, it becomes fuel.
Reading about it helps. Hearing it about your situation helps more.
I'll pull the cards for your question and tell you what I see, gently. It's free.

I call this the Volume Dial Spread: four cards to separate the signal from the noise while the sky is shouting.
- 1. The True Volume: What is the real size of this feeling when nothing is amplifying it?
- 2. The Amplifier: What is the supermoon turning up in me right now, and why is that spot so sensitive?
- 3. The Signal: Inside all this noise, what is the one message actually worth hearing?
- 4. The Steady Hand: How do I use this intensity this week instead of drowning in it?
What to Ask the Cards
Keep your journal close this week. These are the questions I would put to the cards, or to a quiet page.
- Which feeling has gotten dramatically louder this week, and what size was it before the volume rose?
- What is this intensity trying to make me finally look at?
- If I could not text him for seven days, what would I do with all this energy?
- What decision am I tempted to make right now that could safely wait one week?
- Where in my life would this much passion, pointed on purpose, change everything?
My supermoon ritual is a pause with a shape. Before you respond to anything that spikes your heart this week, put a hand flat on your chest, take three slow breaths, and ask one question out loud: how big is this, really? Then answer honestly. You will be amazed how often the answer shrinks the wave to a size you can surf.
And some feelings will not wait a week, I know. When something lands so hard tonight that you need an answer before you can sleep, that is exactly why I created my Same Hour love reading for when the feeling cannot wait. For every supermoon and full moon date ahead, the full moon calendar has you covered.
